몬트리올 출신 피아니스트 루실 정은 10세에 몬트리올 심포니와 협연하며 데뷔한 이후 70개 이상의 주요 오케스트라와 협연하고 35개국 이상에서 리사이틀을 가졌다. 20세 이전에 커티스 음악원과 줄리아드 음악원을 모두 졸업하였다. Gramophone은 그의 연주를 "세련되고 정제된(stylish and refined)" 연주로 평하였다. 그의 음반은 바흐부터 리게티까지 폭넓은 레퍼토리를 아우르며, 남편인 피아니스트 알레시오 박스와 함께 호아킨 아추카로 재단을 공동 운영하고 있다.

Montréal-born pianist Lucille Chung burst onto the scene at age 10 with the Montréal Symphony and has since appeared with over 70 leading orchestras and as a recitalist in more than 35 countries. A graduate of both the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School before the age of 20, she is praised for "stylish and refined" playing (Gramophone). Her discography spans Bach to Ligeti, and she co-directs the Joaquín Achúcarro Foundation with her husband, pianist Alessio Bax.

Donald Dal Maso

커티스 음악원(1977년, 비올라 전공) 출신의 도널드 달 마소는 링컨 센터 뉴욕시티 오페라 오케스트라에서 약 30년간 활동하였다. 그는 라르셰 콘서트 그룹(L'ARCHET Concert Group)의 디렉터로서 미국 동북부 지역에서 지역사회 연주회를 통해 젊은 음악가들을 지원해 오고 있다. 무대 밖에서는 뉴욕대학교(NYU)에서 사회복지학 석사학위(M.S.W.)를 취득하였으며, 예술 교육 분야의 자문 활동도 병행하고 있다.

A Curtis Institute graduate ('77, viola), Donald Dal Maso spent nearly three decades in the New York City Opera Orchestra at Lincoln Center. He directs the L'ARCHET Concert Group and champions young artists through community concerts across the Northeast. Away from the stage, he holds an M.S.W. from NYU and consults on arts-in-education initiatives.

Yi Qun Xu

Cello첼로

첼리스트 Yi Qun Xu는 The Day로부터 "탁월한 균형과 기교, 놀랍도록 풍부한 음색"이라는 찬사를 받아왔다. 카사트 현악사중주단(Cassatt String Quartet)의 첼리스트이자 2022년 프레서 음악상(Presser Music Award) 수상자이다. 링컨 센터 챔버 뮤직 소사이어티와 말보로 뮤직 페스티벌에서 연주하였으며, Musicians from Marlboro 전국 투어에 참여하였다. 이자크 펄만(Itzhak Perlman)을 비롯하여 클리블랜드, 에머슨, 줄리아드, 도쿄 현악사중주단 멤버들과 협연해왔다. 줄리아드 음악원에서 Kovner Fellow로 학사, 석사, 박사(D.M.A.) 학위를 모두 취득하였으며, 현재 줄리아드 프리컬리지, 펄만 뮤직 프로그램, 하이페츠 국제 음악원 교수진으로 재직 중이다.

Praised by The Day for her "great poise and masterful technique" and "an amazingly rich tone," cellist Yi Qun Xu is the cellist of the Cassatt String Quartet and the 2022 Presser Music Award recipient. She has performed at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Marlboro Music Festival, touring nationally with Musicians from Marlboro, and has collaborated with Itzhak Perlman and members of the Cleveland, Emerson, Juilliard, and Tokyo Quartets. She holds Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from The Juilliard School as a Kovner Fellow, and serves on the faculties of Juilliard Pre-College, the Perlman Music Program, and the Heifetz International Music Institute.

Steven D. Hartman

세인트루이스 출신의 클라리네티스트 스티븐 D. 하트먼은 1987년부터 뉴욕시티 발레 오케스트라의 수석 클라리네티스트로 재직해 오고 있다. 그는 현재 뉴욕시티 오페라 오케스트라의 수석 대행과 뉴욕 스칸디아 심포니의 수석을 겸임하고 있으며, 뉴욕 스칸디아 심포니와 함께 B. H. 크루셀의 협주곡 세 편을 녹음하였다. 줄리아드 음악원 출신인 그는 뉴욕 필하모닉, 브루클린 필하모닉을 비롯한 링컨 센터의 여러 앙상블과 협연해 왔으며, 실내악 클리닉 강사로도 활발히 활동하고 있다.

St. Louis-born clarinetist Steven D. Hartman has been Principal Clarinet of the New York City Ballet Orchestra since 1987. He also serves as Acting Principal of the NYC Opera Orchestra and Principal of the New York Scandia Symphony, with whom he recorded three concertos by B.H. Crusell. A Juilliard alumnus, Hartman has appeared with the New York Philharmonic, Brooklyn Philharmonic, and numerous Lincoln Center ensembles, and is a frequent chamber-music clinician.

Hyungjin Son손형진

Voice성악

풍부하고 잘 절제된 음색과 "크고 청동빛(large and bronze-toned)" 바리톤으로 호평받는 손형진은 LA 오페라, 디트로이트 오페라, 피츠버그 오페라, 보스턴 리릭 오페라 무대에 섰다. 콘서트 솔리스트로서 브람스 〈독일 레퀴엠〉과 모차르트 〈대미사 다단조〉를 보스턴 심포니 홀과 조던 홀에서 연주하였다. 2023년 메트로폴리탄 오페라 라퐁 콩쿠르(뉴잉글랜드 지역)에서 우승하였다. 서울대학교와 뉴잉글랜드 음악원에서 학위를 받았고, 보스턴 대학교 오페라 인스티튜트를 수료하였으며, LA 오페라 도밍고-콜번-스타인 영 아티스트 프로그램 동문이다.

Praised for his "beautiful and well-controlled voice" and "large and bronze-toned" baritone, Hyungjin Son has appeared with LA Opera, Detroit Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, and Boston Lyric Opera. As a concert soloist, he has performed Brahms's German Requiem and Mozart's Great Mass in C minor at Boston Symphony Hall and Jordan Hall. Mr. Son won the 2023 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (New England Region). He holds degrees from Seoul National University and New England Conservatory, completed the Boston University Opera Institute, and is a proud alumnus of LA Opera's Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program.

Ha Ju-hwa하주화

Geomungo거문고

하주화 교수는 거문고 명인이자 한국 전통음악 연구자로, 국악사양성소와 서울대학교 음악대학에서 거문고를 전공하였다. 연세대학교 교육대학원 석사와 성균관대학교 대학원 박사학위를 취득하였으며, 국립국악원 연주단과 국립국악고등학교를 거쳐 서울예술대학교 교수 및 부총장을 역임하고 현재 동 대학 명예교수로 재직 중이다. 서울거문고풍류보존회 대표로서 서울풍류와 거문고 정악의 전승에 헌신해왔으며, 교육 분야에서의 오랜 공헌을 인정받아 2018년 대한민국 황조근정훈장을 수훈하였다.

Professor Ha Ju-hwa is a distinguished geomungo master and scholar of Korean traditional music. He studied geomungo at the National Classical Music Institute and at Seoul National University, and holds a master's degree from Yonsei University Graduate School of Education and a Ph.D. from Sungkyunkwan University. After performing with the National Gugak Center Orchestra and teaching at the National Gugak High School, he joined the Seoul Institute of the Arts, where he served as Professor and Vice President and is now Honorary Professor. As President of the Seoul Geomungo Pungnyu Preservation Society, he has devoted his career to transmitting the Seoul Pungnyu and geomungo jeongak (classical repertoire) traditions. In recognition of his long-standing contributions to education, he was awarded the Hwangjo Order of Service Merit (황조근정훈장) in 2018 by the Government of the Republic of Korea.

Kim Sang-jun김상준

Daegeum대금

대금 명인 김상준은 1982년 국립국악고등학교에 대금 전공으로 입학하며 국악에 입문하였고, 추계예술대학교를 졸업한 후 중앙대학교 교육대학원에서 수학하였다. 국가무형유산 종묘제례악 이수자 및 대금정악 이수자이며, 제37회 전국난계국악경연대회 대통령상(2011), 문화체육부 장관상(2011), TV서울문화예술 대상(2020)을 수상하였다. 1996년 국립국악원에 입단하여 정악단 수차석을 거쳐 현재 지도위원으로 재직 중이며, 국립국악원 창작악단 초대 대금 수석과 국립남도국악원 악장을 역임하였다. 다섯 차례의 개인 독주회와 KBS국악관현악단·서울시립국악관현악단을 비롯한 다수의 협연 무대를 가졌으며, 김상준 대금정악(2019)과 김상준 대금/단소 풍류 정악(2025) 등의 음반을 발표하였다.

A daegeum master, Kim Sang-jun began his training in Korean traditional music at the National Gugak High School in 1982. He graduated from Chugye University for the Arts and pursued graduate studies at Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Education. He is an official successor of two designated National Intangible Cultural Heritage traditions: Jongmyo Jeryeak (Royal Ancestral Shrine Ritual Music) and Daegeum Jeongak (court music for daegeum). His honors include the Presidential Award at the 37th Nangye National Gugak Competition (2011), the Minister of Culture's Award (2011), and the TV Seoul Culture & Arts Grand Prize (2020). He joined the National Gugak Center in 1996, where he currently serves as a leading member of the Jeongak Ensemble, and previously served as inaugural Principal Daegeum of the Gugak Center's Contemporary Ensemble and as Concertmaster of the Namdo Gugak Center. He has presented five solo recitals and has appeared as soloist with the KBS Gugak Orchestra and Seoul Metropolitan Gugak Orchestra, among others. His recordings include Kim Sang-jun: Daegeum Jeongak (2019) and Kim Sang-jun: Daegeum/Danso Pungnyu Jeongak (2025).

Lee Ju-eun이주은

Pansori판소리

이주은 명창은 중요무형문화재 제5호 판소리 춘향가 이수자(신영희 명창 사사)로, 만정제 판소리를 대표하는 소리꾼이다. 제31회 춘향국악대전 판소리 명창부 대통령상(2004) 등을 수상하였고, 서울대학교 국악과에서 박사학위를 취득하였다. 현재 국립국악원 민속악단 악장직을 맡고 있다.

Lee Ju-eun is a Master (명창) of pansori and an official successor of Chunhyangga under National Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 5, having trained under Master Shin Young-hee. A leading carrier of the Manjeongje lineage, she received the Presidential Award at the 31st Chunhyang National Gugak Festival's Pansori Master Competition (2004), among other distinctions, and holds her doctorate in Korean Traditional Music from Seoul National University. She currently serves as Akjang (concertmaster) of the Folk Music Ensemble at the National Gugak Center.
